A bit of anger in Perth
Got bumped off the India Test rota & now the Scorchers BBL semi final has been shifted to Canberra (FUCKING CANBERRA) as there was one (ONE) case of Covid with a quarantine hotel security guard in Perth.

Re: England tour of S Africa .... cant wait to go home
Luckily they were able to complete that ODI series v England pre the worsening of the situation & the S African variant virus being identified.
Oh

Disappointing as could do with some Tests post the India series
The obvious solution is for the Saffas to come to Perth and play 3 Tests there. Think they have a very good record there

Australian COWARDS pull out of test series in South Africa, meaning New Zealand are guaranteed a place in World Test Championship final, almost certainly against India.

This past year has only reinforced my
(admittedly ) ambitious future endeavours.
Some African booty incoming..

I'm watching the NZ version of BBL "Super Smash" It's quite genteel, like a county festival ground.

Enjoyed today’s game
Sydney Thunder had Brisbane’s chase static after 10 overs & the game under control so Kiwi coach Shane Bond comes out in the break & changes tactics ..... let’s bowl slow & wide.
Sam Heazlett who I think had been 12 from 18 at one point scores his last 48 off 20 & it’s game over.
Kiwi coaches ..... WHAT ARE TEAMS THINKING?

Haha, I like the sentiment and I tried not to like it but I just can’t help myself.

The BBL is heating up nicely. Just saw a spectator clean his missis out while attempting to catch a six from Khawaja. His beer remained intact though so good cricket all round

As a Scorchers fan once it got to that last over Hughes & Vince had had plenty of opportunity to manufacture the century.
Even if it wasn’t deliberate I was calling for a no ball or wide just to see the look we got on Vince’s face at the end.
Hopefully the Scorchers can bounce back on Thursday and have another crack next Saturday at the SCG. Without the dew.

Of course the best English born player on show was Josh Inglis who is improving all the time & has a reasonable chance of being the 12th English born wearer of a BAGGY GREEN

Think Channel 4 have got India v England which is fantastic.

Think they have lined up Vaughan and KP to talk shit which is beyond grim.

Good to see Pakistan playing Test matches at home again.

And the ECB finally addressing the horrendous amount of racist abuse that BAME county players have received from other players.
Well, they have at least unveiled it in a survey.
No action yet.

I see Andrew TYE sent down a wide to James VINCE on 98 with the scores level and 3 overs left.

Will be tough for Burns to hit the ground running so we need at least one of the openers to stick around.

Re: England tour of S Africa
Sibley got some runs at last, whether it's enough to keep his place in India I'm not sure.

As he got more runs than Crawley, pretty sure he has one of the opening slots nailed down for India. Only the 3 openers in the squad (Burns the other). Pretty sure Crawley will go back to no 3.
